Without a doubt one of the best duos to exist within the realm of entertainment, S.O.N.- One and Bebop, collectively known as Bootlegg, are preparing to emerge on the scene to prove once and for all their talents far exceed five stars. Raised in Kokomo, Indiana, the kindred spirits of Bootlegg developed a passion for music early in their natural lives. Meeting in a small church at the time, Bootlegg “quickly” noticed a bond in their meeting of one another and the visual of “brotherhood” became an instant in the eyes of many bystanders witnessing the inseparable pair. The group’s musical upbringing was first seen as members of a former and bigger crew called Coalition. Consisting of Bootlegg, The Lynxx, (Knyghtmare, Beast, and Wizdalani), Ability, and C-Ray, this powerhouse collective enjoyed minor success in becoming a staple in hip-hop. Though Coalition’s lifespan as a whole was eventually short-lived, their legacy has been duly noted and various related projects are sure to come in the near future. Bootlegg’s latest EP release, Dat Piff Vol. 1, is available online. The group is currently working on their upcoming EP, First Class, which is slated for a summer 2012 release. The main objective in the release of Bootlegg’s debut album is simply stated as one word…CLASSIC.
