Lost At Sea
Birdman & Jacquees
Jacquees' Mood mixtape had a couple of Birdman features, as well as an entire song dedicated to teh Cash Money founder, "Like Baby," and now he and Bird have teamed up for a full collaborative project. Lost At Sea finds Jacquees edging further towards the rap-influenced side of his sound as he goes back and forth with Baby, also teaming up with Dej Loaf and Derez De'shon in the process. If you were a fan of the previously released title track from the project, there should be plenty more to appreciate for you on this.
Slime Season 2
Thug promised two projects tonight: Migos Thuggin and Slime Season 2, the follow-up to his eclectic 18-track effort from September that featured several collaborations with his go-to producer London on da Track -- as well as beats from Metro Boomin, Southside, Wheezy, Goose, and more of Atlanta's leading youngsters. No sign of Migos Thuggin just yet, but SS2 is here, and it's about all we can handle.
Maybach Music Group signee and Florida native Gunplay has yet to release, promote or share details about his upcoming debut album, Living Legend, but today we get some consolation in the form of a new mixtape. Gunplay is hosted by DJ Epps and arrives today via Livemixtapes.
Tha Tour Part 1
Released back in May, the track "Lifestyle" by Birdman, Rich Homie Quan and Young Thug took a while to catch fire, but when it did, it rocketed up the charts. Since debuting on Billboard's Hip-Hop/R&B chart seven weeks ago, the track has peaked at number seven and spent seven weeks on the chart.
A Long Story Short
Khalil is the protegé of Justin Bieber, which clearly has its perks. His new tape, A Long Story Short, boasts guest appearances from some very high-profile artists. Justin Bieber (regrettably billed as "Bizzle"), Birdman, Blake Kelly and Tory Lanez all show up to lend their talents to various songs on the new project. Production is handled by Kanye West's right hand man, Mike Dean, as well as DJ Mustard, Johnny Rain, J Hawk, Chizzy C Minor, Julkeyz Soundz and more.
