20 Legendary Rapper Yearbook Photos
As cool as rappers may seem to you now, there was a time when your favorite spitter was in high school, and as dope as they may have seen themselves, we're certain that each one of them dealt with some serious haters. We're gonna take you on a tour of 20 rapper yearbook photos, an expansion of our previous list.
Classic Rotation: Outkast's "ATLiens"
Imagine pressing play on ATLiens for the first time in 1996 (it took me around ten more years to do so, I was 5 at the time). You're familiar with Outkast, whose debut album dropped two years prior and expanded the hip hop's borders to encompass Southern-fried funk, and maybe even Goodie Mob, who took that sound to darker, more gothic territory on Soul Food in '95.
Big Boi & Killer Mike Are Planning A Joint EP
Two esteemed Atlanta veterans, Big Boi and Killer Mike, are reportedly teaming up for a joint EP. Mike hasn't dropped a project since he and El-P released the second installment of their acclaimed Run the Jewel series in late 2014. Big Boi has been focused on his partnership with electronic duo Phantogram, with whom he makes up the group Big Grams. They released their debut self-titled EP last year. A project between the two Dungeon Family members is a welcome surprise, especially considering all of their classic collabs over the years.
10 Photos Of Rappers With Their Pets
Fame and exotic pets go hand-in-hand. Just ask King George I, who ruled England in the early 18th century, who kept a pet human. Rappers are no different. While many rappers like to keep it down-to-earth w dogs, some prefer to ball out and domesticate animals you've never even heard of like endangered saber-toothed manta rays.

20 Hip Hop Artists Who Threw Out The Ceremonial First Pitch
The pitcher's mound is a stage, a very different stage from the one rappers and singers are accustomed to standing upon. The ceremonial first pitch is ostensibly a celebration, and throwing the ball 60 feet in a particular direction may not seem like much of a challenge. But much can go wrong. From Kendrick Lamar to Snoop Dogg to MC Hammer to 50 Cent (!), here are 20 hip hop artists who took the mound for the ceremonial first pitch.

Outkast Turned Down An Opportunity To Perform At The 2004 Super Bowl
The New England Patriots narrowly defeated the Carolina Panthers in Super Bowl XXXVIII, but no one remembers that. All that anyone outside New England remembers from that Super Bowl is when Justin Timberlake accidentally-on-purpose ripped of Janet Jackson's shirt and bared her titty for all of Earth to see. The "wardrobe malfunction" could have been prevented, if Outkast had accepted the NFL's invitation to perform at that year's Super Bowl.

Classic Rotation: Outkast "Aquemini"
Earlier this year we’ve done Classic Rotations pieces on Outkast’s Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik and ATLiens, and today we’re bringing you a reflection piece on Outkast’s third album, Aquemini. The 1998 follow-up to ATLiens was recorded in Atlanta and features a sound along those lines. It still sounds experimental in 2015, and it was completely out there seventeen years ago today, when it was first released.
Stream Big Boi & Phantogram's Collaborative EP "Big Grams"
The time has come. Big Boi’s & Phantogram’s new collaborative project, Big Grams, is officially out on iTunes. Big Boi & Phantogram Reveal "Big Grams EP" Artwork, Tracklist, Release Date
Big Boi and electronic duo Phantogram made their live debut under their joint moniker Big Grams at Epic Fest in LA two weekends ago. We knew the album was coming, we just didn't know when... or what. We now have a better picture.
Classic Rotation: Outkast's "ATLiens"
If Outkast’s debut made the case that Big Boi and Andre 3000 were legitimate rappers, then their sophomore album proved that they were great artists. While the straight-forward gangster-pimpin’ vibe on Southernplayalistic was indeed awesome, the experimental nature of ATLiens was-- no, is-- absolutely mind-blowing.
Big Boi's Joint Album With Phantogram Is Done
Big Boi took to Instagram this week to announce that his joint album with Phantogram is complete. An electronic duo known for their ethereal soundscapes and funky beats, Phantogram appeared on three songs on Big Boi' 2012 album Vicious Lies And Dangerous Rumors -- "Objectum Sexuality," "CPU" and "Lines" feat. A$AP Rocky.
#TBT: OutKast's Early Deep Cuts
OutKast might be best known for their later material like "Ms. Jackson" and "Hey Ya!," but this duo's discography runs deep. Their first few albums, Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik, ATLiens, and Aquemini are hip-hop classics that melted southern twang with funky experimental fusion. With hits like "Elevators (Me & You)" and "Rosa Parks," OutKast began to pave their way to mainstream success, but it was lesser-known gems like "Babylon" and "Mainstream" that speak volumes of their limitless art.
