In California's music scene, rappers come a dime a dozen. But very few have been able to carve a niche for themselves like 27 year old, Sacramento-based emcee Bansky. Described as "a combination of cloud & screw music", his work offers the perfect soundtrack to a late night of celebrating vices. His two albums, 2012's Purple and 2013's Red showcase codeine influenced lyrics over dark, haunting production from Sacramento producer Easy. In addition, both albums are available "Chopped & Screwed" by Texas' DJ Keebler G. The two projects garnered him a cult-like internet following with over 455,000 YouTube views, features on respected hip hop websites (YouHeardThatNew, HotNewHipHop, etc.), and clothing sponsorships from High Gloss, Halloway and Pour des Fuck Up. Most recently opening up for Schoolboy Q, Bansky is currently at work on his third album with Easy and Grammy nominated songwriter/producer Drew Scott.
