A couple of days ago, we shared King Chip's "Fat Raps 3," featuring Big Sean, Curren$y, Chuck Inglish, and Earlly Mac. The same lineup, minus Mac, appeared on the original "Fat Raps," which dropped six years ago. "Fat Raps 3" appears on Chip's new album, CleveLAfornia, which was originally only available on Amazon but can now be streamed below, via Spotify.

We've heard Blended Babies collaborate with the likes of Ab-Soul, Asher Roth King Chip, The Cool Kids, and many more, but today, the duo have released 6 new instrumentals as their first in a series of EPs-- the aptly titled "1". A quick skim of the new effort finds the same hazy, psychedelia we saw at play on Roth's RetroHash, which they produced in its entirety. As for when they'll be dropping the rest of the instrumental material, it's said to be arriving in the next couple months, but we're confident this collection will hold you down until then.

Asher Roth's latest piece of work, RetroHash, seems to have been well-received by the fans. It's definitely showing a different side of Roth, as he dabbles more into musicality and less into rap. Asher Roth is getting ready to drop his first album in 5 years. RetroHash will see release April 22nd through Federal Prism Records, and now has some official cover art. The project, which will be produced entirely be Blended Babies, is preceded by Asher's recent single "Tangerine Girl". The psychedelic artwork for the album features Asher in Cowboy attire, complete with a trippy color scheme.

Justin Bieber may not be the most well-liked patron of the musical community, but his verse of the "Cannon" instrumental was not half-bad... considering he was 14 at the time, boasting lyrics like "Hey my young, wanna have some fun? You can play with my cannon." Of course, Asher Roth included his own freestyle over "Cannon" for his mixtape, The Greenhouse Effect.

It's been a long minute since Asher Roth burst onto the scene with his fratboy anthem "I Love College". Things have changed since then, and Asher is ready to tell the world exactly how on his new album RetroHash. “This should explain where I’ve been the past 4 years,” Asher said of his prolonged absence from the rap game. “[The album] is more focused on songs and ideas and feels,” he said. “I’m not trying to pull a fast one on anyone. I’m just doing stuff that I know is why people fell in love with me in the first place.”
Asher Roth Responds To Eminem's Diss
You may remember Asher Roth's track from Asleep In The Bread Aisle where he addressed Eminem comparisons, and if you don't-- Eminem sure does. On a track from his recently released MMLPII Em goes at Asher for what he claims to be a backhanded compliment. "Quit actin' salty, I was countin' on you to count me out/Ask Asher Roth when he round-a-bout dissed me to shout me out/Thought I was history/But goddamn honkey, that compliment's like backhanding a donkey," said Em on "Asshole," making reference to Roth's "As I Em".
