The skillful artform of MC'ing and the presence of hip hop culture touch's the lives of many young people in the Big Apple as well as throughout the world. The life of AntBoogie who hails from the inner city streets of Brooklyn, NY is one of them. Antboogie distinguishes himself from the masses of self proclaimed rappers and Mc's in his style, approach, and motivation to make an impact on the surrounding world and music industry. He is quick to point out that his motivation to be one of the best to ever hold a mic comes purely from his love for rap and hip hop culture, and not an obsession with wealth and material gain.
Antboogie's entrance into the entertaioment industry and hip hop culture, is just as unique as his style and signature delivery. Antboogie has been dancing and choreographing professionally for over 10years in the game, just recently wrapping up the second leg of the Queen of Pop, Madonna's, Sticky and Sweet Tour. He is no stranger to the stage or sold arena's, since he has been touring the country and world before even getting his highschool degree, from the "FAME" school, the world reknowned Fiorella La Guardia High School of the Performing Arts.
His first job was through "Making the Band" choreographer Lori Ann Gibson for then Bad Boy recording artist Jerome. After getting this initial taste of the music industry it gave him the push to start rapping and creating his own music. While still attending La Gaurdia he started to record demos with some members of his dance crew who, the AmountBoyz, who also possessed vocal and mc'ing skills .
In 2003, AntBoogie released and recorded his first solo mix-tape (Go Home & Change) and sold it in the arena's to fans, while on the Scream Tour 3 dancing with then J records artist, Mario. He later officially collaborated with 2 members of AmountBoyz to put out the F.A.M.E mix-tape, They shot a music video for the lead single off their EP "Walks Away" (which is still available on I Tunes) and pushed it on the streets of nyc, during breaks of rehearsals and shows with artists. Eventually the AmountBoyz branching out into music after cementing their legacy as a premiere dance crew within the industry, began to create a buzz, and Antboogie w/his fellow AmountBoyz performed on BET's Wild Out Wednsday. The buzz transformed to legitimate interest from labels, and the Amount Boyz took meetings. To their dismay, many that were interested in signing the group either wanted to compromise or fabricate the groups intergrity and style, and the group had no interest in signing their careers away into the wrong direction.
Antboogie took a brief hiatus from his music making side, and returned to his love of dance, which garnered him even more credits and even greater exposure to the entertainment industry, dancing and performing in the Academy Award Winning film "DREAM GIRLS", Assistant choreographing scenes for the BIO pic of one of his Idol's and fellow Brooklynite BIGGY SMALLS, in the film "NOTORIOUS", and choreographing for Ryan Leslie and Alicia Keyes Tour 2008. The reignition of Antboogie, the artist, the MC, the brand emerged while on tour with Madonna, which inspired him go full out with his ideas, dreams, and aspirations, not limiting himself to any arena of opportunity. He has created the hottest online dance & entertainment social site (AntBoogieWorld.com) which also produces and sponsors dance event's, music showcases & parties, editorials, blogs, and also stands a platform for his work. AntBoogie style of music speaks for itself and is continually growing to new heights and direction.
