He was born in New Jersey and has previously performed as Prince Jersey. Amir J began singing age 4 and writing songs at the age of 8. Around age 9 Amir took to learning to play the viola and later picked the violin and cello. As a teenager, he began dancing and in high school Amir J took dance classes ranging from hip-hop to ballet. Coming up Amir was apart of both his church and school choir. Later, Amir J began performing in local shows. He has performed at Hangar 84 in New Jersey, where he opened for Philadelphia native Meek Mill, Stalley at Phanasy night club in Cleveland, OH (Maybach Music Group) and rapper Cassidy. Amir was a finalist of the "2011 Charlie Mack Party Talented Teens Competition " in Philadelphia. His single "My Lady" was featured on Kiss 101.7 (Delaware) by D.J. Mellie Mel. He was also interviewed by WTMH radio, a station in the Midwest. Determined to make it in the music industry Amir's hard work never stops. Amir has done artist development with Philadelphia's own legend Mr. Hollie Stain. With an unique vocal sound and a performance style that is said to resemble Usher, Amir J is sure to set fire to any stage he steps foot on and capture the hearts of millions.
