In three days, Thanksgiving will grant us all temporary respite from the shitstorm that is life. A Thanksgiving-themed internet meme that has gained sigifnificant traction in the past week is the #UNameItChallenge, which features a clip of gospel singer Shirley Caesar reciting everything she plans to cook for Thanksgiving -- "beans, greens, potatoes, tomatoes," and much more -- over a trap beat added by Instagram user RemixGodSuede.
10 Essential Mike WiLL Made-It Beats
If 2015 was the year of Metro Boomin, 2016 might go down as the year of Mike WiLL Made-It. On top of executive production credits on Gucci Mane's Everybody Looking and Rae Sremmurd's SremmLife 2, the Atlanta-based producer has put out two Beat of the Year candidates in Young Thug's "F Cancer" and "With Them" and produced Beyonce's "Formation," arguably the biggest record of the last twelve months. DJ Khaled's Top 5 Posse Anthems
As far DJs go, there's no one who sells more music than DJ Khaled. Khaled Khaled (no typo) is far from just a DJ though. Ace Hood has been busy jumping on some of the industry’s hottest instrumentals these past few weeks, but could that all just be for preparation for his next mixtape?
Samples Of The Week: January 30
When hip-hop began, samples were all that DJs and producers had to construct instrumental tracks with. They'd dig through crates of vinyl trying to find isolated drum breaks, melodies or vocals that they could repurpose for use in hip-hop music. Today, sampling has become less common, but a choice sample can still push a track from lukewarm to hot faster than you can say "uh huh honey."
Review: Ace Hood's "Starvation 3"
If the first Starvation mixtape proved to be a metaphor for Ace Hood’s unmitigated hunger for the level of super stardom usually reserved for rappers like his friend, Lil Wayne, then Starvation 3 makes Ace Hood sound as hungry as ever, except this time around, the production values are a lot better. Of course Ace Hood is a lot closer to his goal than he was when the first Starvation installment rolled around.

Charts Don’t Lie: July 28
Our new entry on Charts Don't Lie this week belongs to Ace Hooooood. The rapper constantly on his grind delivered Trials & Tribulations after months of promotion, a huge hit single, "Bugatti," a listening event, among other things. And while it worked in his favor somewhat (it's his best sales to date), it's still not very much of an improvement from his last album, Blood, Sweat & Tears. Trials & Tribulations is Ace's best debut week thus far, but that's with only 34,000 units sold-- not even 10k more than his 2011 album.
