A-Rawlo (Ashton Leffall) a rising hip-hop star on the horizon of Seattle’s hip-hop music scene. A promising high school athlete who’s career was cut short by the lure of street life. Fortunately, A-Rawlo found music and turned his life around as a youth growing up in Seattle’s South End neighborhoods. A-Rawlo’s music is a constant progression, a breath of fresh air. A-Rawlo provides an honest perspective, ambition and good lyrical composition.
Debut mix tape, Tax Free was released in 2010. In 2011 he partnered with Antwon Vinson for ACGL mix tape – a low key summer banger which caught the ear of many local bloggers including MissCaseyCarter.com, theSermonsDomain.com and NWHipHop. Momentum builds as A-Rawlo sets to release his first official album ACGL2 coming summer 2012. A-Rawlo teams with his mother R. Foxx on the poignant single, Momma I’m Sorry (We All Make Mistakes).
A-Rawlo has proudly performed live at Neumos, The Vera Project, University of Washington, Benaroya Hall, and the legendary End of The Week Showcase in New York, NY. A-Rawlo is particular about conducting himself professionally; his personal challenge is to be a true hip-hop artist, not just another rapper. A-Rawlo understands that it is “bigger than hip-hop!” Therefore, he embraces his music as an opportunity to be a positive influence in the community he grew up and beyond. Amongst other causes A-Rawlo is a Peace Ambassador for Umoja Peace Center, Seattle, WA and a Seattle Hip Hop Youth Council member. Additionally, A-Rawlo is a PEACE Ambassador for the National PEACE is A Lifestyle movement in New York, NY.
