From the harsh pavements of New York City to the beautiful landscapes of Atlanta, Georgia, to say life has been a journey for Antonio Flowz would be an understatement. Born Anthony J. Lewis, Anthony adopted the name Antonio Flowz as a self-titled tribute. At the age 17, Antonio decided to leave his family in Atlanta to pursue a musical career. Antonio returned to his hometown, where the lights are always on, and the streets never sleep; New York City. With months of struggling with finances and not having a stable place to live, Antonio found himself “sofa surfing” between the homes of family and friends. Eventually living in teen shelters like Covenant House. During this time Antonio never gave up. “Success was the only option for me and my family. No matter what situation I found myself in I always stayed positive and determined to follow my dream.” Due to the financial hardships that Antonio has experienced, there is no obstacle that he cannot overcome. “I lived in several states, gaining predominate musical influences from New York City and Atlanta. Music has helped me through the difficult times in my life by keeping me balanced as a person. When extreme situations occurred, I always had music to turn to. “ “I believe hard work beats talent.” Now at the age of 21, Antonio has begun to overcome the trials and tribulations of his past, with memorable hooks and rhymes along with smooth melodies. “Due to my life experiences, my passion for music is conveyed through my lyrics and instrumentals. Music is my outlet, my instrument to get though good and bad moments that life might throw at me. Each day I wake up with the goal of taking one step towards my dream.” With the hit single “One More Time” hitting the streets from his upcoming debut mixtape “Broken Starts, Smokin Hearts”. You can expect to hear story lines compiled of issues that revolve around life’s tragedies, perspectives, ambitions and ups and downs accompanied by a diverse sound as the back drop to his word artillery.
