A Manez

Back to Player

Born December 9th, 1994, Amahni Green, better known as A Manez, had no choice but to fall in love with the vast world of music. Born into a musical family, Manez was encouraged to pursue music from an early age and learned to play both the piano and the drums during his chilhood. With a producer for a father, Manez was exposed to the world of Reggae from birth. As his father was involved in the music business, Manez was futher inclined to research all aspects of the history of music, including Hip-Hop, Rap, and R&B, among others. Also, simultaneously, Manez was actively involved in the church and was heavily exposed to the the gospel music genre. He developed a love for all of these genres; however, as he was mainly intrested in and exposed to Hip Hop, it became his primary passion. During grade 6, Manez began making beats and instrumentals, a skill that he continues to utilize till this day. Coupled with his passion for music was a love for writing. He would often drift off into his own musical world in class, preferring to write poems in his notebook rather than solve equations. In grade nine, Manez transformed his poetic writing skills into lyricism and started rapping as a hobby. The hobby turned into a dream, and that dream is currently beginning to form into reality for this young rapper. Now in the eleventh grade, A Manez is pursuing his goal of becoming a signed artist and making his city, Toronto, proud. Founder of the music crew Knockout, and backed up by the up and coming Record label Broke Brothers Ent., A Manez is guaranteed to go far. His plans for the near future? Keep writing, keep rhyming, and never let the beat breathe!
