For the last year, 88GLAM have gone somewhat underappreciated. The Toronto duo is signed to XO, allowing them a road to work closely with The Weeknd and all the other talented artists at the label. Derek Wise and 88 Camino have worked closely with Nav in the past and they're currently looking ahead to their next album release. Luckily for us, that's coming this week as the duo has started to hype up 88GLAM2.
Arriving tomorrow night, the Canadian group has shared a teaser clip to get the word out. The video is gloomy, showing the two young artists in a cloudy atmosphere. Their mentor, Cash at XO, told his followers that it's time for his "young boys to shine." The duo has been hard at work for months, introducing us to their single "Lil Boat," which has gotten a fair amount of praise.
We featured 88GLAM as the first guests on our new season of On The Come Up, coming through for a video interview. They spoke to us about their relationship with The Weeknd, the scene in Toronto, and they ended up working together.
