Does Tekashi 6ix9ine have the respect from his peers to pull off the bold claims he just made. We'll know soon enough. Tekashi posted a video on Instagram of him receiving yet another commemorative plaque from his label. It's hard to make out the inscription because the camera work is spotty at best, but Tekashi mentions that it reads "1 Billion Streams in 5 Months," the elapse of time between the release of DAY69 and today.

After bragging about his comeuppance for the better part of a minute, 6ix9ine begins emptying out the pockets of his track pants. Out come pouring freshly kneaded hundred dollar bills, falling to the floor in packs of seven or eight. The caption next to the video continues where he leaves off. In it, he claims to "have a whole album on the way," which will include features from none other than Drake, Travis Scott, Swae Lee, XXXTentacion, Diplo and many more, ending his tirade with a message to young people on the margins of poverty: "this shows every kid out there you don't need to suck no industry dick to be poppin'."

The jury is still out whether Tekashi is lying through his teeth or not. Lesser hyped artists have scored similar features on their albums, and for all intents and purposes 6ix9ine is a marquee at this very moment, for however long it lasts.
