50 Cent teases season three of "Power" will return in the summer.
"Empire" may be flashier, and definitely gets more media coverage, but "Power" is really where it's at. The TV show, which is executive produced by 50 Cent and stars the rapper as the malicious gangster (who may or may not get his just desserts), Kanan, is set to return this summer.
50 Cent, rather unsurprisingly, seems to harbour some ill will that Taraji P. Henson, who plays Cookie in "Empire," has blossomed into a TV star of-the-moment (winning a Golden Globe and appearing on multiple magazine covers), while the actress who plays Angela on "Power," Lela Loren, has not.
Nonetheless in between all these Instagram jabs, Fif revealed that season three of "Power" will air in June. We'll be ready.
