Urban fashion designer 40 oz Van sat down with HNHH recently to discuss his relationship with social media, life philosophy, and plans for expanding his legendary block parties to other cities beyond NYC.
40 oz got his start organizing parties in 2009 in uptown Manhattan. Even though he's become a known name, he still strives to avoid any sort of club atmosphere.
"I still want that house party feel to it. Fuck a club," he said. "I don't want to throw something like that because it'll feel forced, it wouldn't feel organic."
He explained his reliance on social media, Twitter in particular. They just let him out of Twitter jail after suspending him for violating the terms of agreement with his avatar. "I was locked up... now I got the restrictions so I can post pictures here and there but I can't wild out like I was," he said.
