2 Chainz recently revealed his album title, as well he spoke on leaving Ludacris' label, DTP.
In an interview with Fuse at SXSW, he shared that he wanted to be his own boss, "I wanted to be my own boss. To me, I wasn't going anywhere. It had a glass ceiling. So, I just wanted to get on my own, start over, from the ground up with the hustle."
"As far as how [Ludacris] felt when I wanted to do my own thing, for the most part, he gave me his blessings. But it is a business so he wanted some, so I gave it to him because I wanted to leave. So, it is what it is."
He also revealed that he has a new album title, "I recently changed the album and the new title of my album is Based on a Tru Story."
2 Chainz also surprised fans last night at SXSW when he brought out Kanye West and Big Sean to perform. They performed "Marvin Gaye & Chardonnay" as well as Kanye's "Can't Tell Me Nothin'"
