Off the top, I can't think of anyone who's going harder than 2 Chainz. Most reasonably assumed that he wouldn't have another hot streak like the 2012-'13 stretch he had that encompassed Based on a T.R.U. Story, B.O.A.T.S. II: Me Time, a handful of hit singles, and even more worthy features. Right now, though, it sounds like he's rapping better than he ever has before. Yesterday, Chainz released his fourth project of the year, Hibachi for Lunch, and all 7 of its tracks are winners. One that's worth highlighting is the penultimate "Doors Open," as it boasts a rare feature from Future, who goes all-out ape shit on the hook. Let's not forget about the remarkable tear that he went on, which culminated in two great projects in the first two months of this year. Desiigner should study his flow on this one.
Also of note is that the "Doors Open" beat comes from DJ Paul of Three 6 Mafia. He's been busy as ever, though this seems to be his most high-profile credit in a long time. Paul's affiliate TWhy Xclusive also contributes to the production.
